Course terms

These terms apply to all courses, workshops, the writing workshop and the theatre weeks of Kulturverein gutgebrüllt, whether you register your child through the customer area “Mein gutgebrüllt”, by email or by phone.

What is included

What a course includes (age group, start date, day and time, number of sessions, venue, final presentation or performance and number of places) is stated in the course description on the Theatre courses page and in the customer area. Courses are led by theatre educators or experienced course leaders of the association.

Registration and contract

Parents or guardians register their child; adult participants register themselves. By registering you make a binding offer. The contract is concluded when we confirm the place by email. Places are allocated in order of registration. If a course is full, we will put your child on the waiting list on request.

With the confirmation you will receive these terms and the information on the right of withdrawal again by email.

Course B (One school year, one play) runs for the whole school year; registration covers both semesters. Course C (youth ensemble): for the second semester, in which the ensemble rehearses the summer production, you register separately. That registration is binding for all rehearsal and performance dates, which we announce beforehand.

Price and payment

The fee is stated for each course. It is a final price; there are no additional costs.

Nothing is paid online. After the confirmation we will send you an invoice. Please transfer the amount within 14 days of receiving the invoice to our account:

Right of withdrawal

If you register through the customer area, by email or by phone, you conclude a distance contract. As a consumer you have a statutory right of withdrawal under the Austrian Distance and Off-Premises Contracts Act (FAGG).

Right of withdrawal

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.

The withdrawal period will expire after 14 days from the day of the conclusion of the contract.

To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must inform us (Kulturverein gutgebrüllt, Hofzeile 10–12/1/4, 1190 Vienna, Austria, phone +43 677 643 88 247, email theaterkurse@gutgebruellt.at) of your decision to withdraw from this contract by an unequivocal statement (e.g. a letter sent by post or email). You may use the model withdrawal form below, but it is not obligatory.

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

Effects of withdrawal

If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse to you all payments received from you without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract. We will carry out such reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.

If you requested to begin the performance of services during the withdrawal period, you shall pay us an amount which is in proportion to what has been provided until you have communicated us your withdrawal from this contract, in comparison with the full coverage of the contract.

Course starting during the withdrawal period

If the course starts less than 14 days after your registration, your child can only take part from the first session if you expressly request this, either with a separate tick box in the customer area or informally by email. If you then withdraw within the period, you only pay for the sessions that have already taken place.

Complete and return this form only if you wish to withdraw from the contract.

Cancelling after the withdrawal period

After the withdrawal period you can cancel your child’s place at any time in writing. Because we keep the place free for the whole group and plan the course leader for the whole semester, the fee for the current semester remains payable. If we can fill the place from the waiting list, we only charge the sessions up to the cancellation. For course B this only concerns the semester in which you cancel; no fee is charged for a later semester.

Sessions your child misses cannot be replaced or refunded.

Cancellation and changes by the association

If a course does not receive enough registrations, we may cancel it before it starts. You will then receive any fees already paid back in full. If a session is cancelled for a reason on our side, for example because the course leader is ill, we will make it up. If that is not possible, we will refund the share for that session.

We only change the venue or time for good reason and announce changes as early as possible. If a significant change is unreasonable for you, you can cancel free of charge and receive the fee for the remaining sessions back.

Supervision

During the course the course leader is responsible for supervision. Before the session starts and after it ends, supervision lies with the parents or guardians. Please drop off and pick up your child on time, or let us know if your child may go home alone.

Photos and recordings

Photos are taken at rehearsals, presentations and performances. You decide whether pictures of your child may be published, with the photo consent in the customer area or in writing. Participation in the course does not depend on it. More in our privacy policy.

Warranty and liability

The statutory provisions on warranty and liability apply. For valuables and clothing brought along we are only liable for intent or gross negligence; this does not apply to personal injury.

Final provisions

Austrian law applies. Mandatory consumer protection provisions, in particular those of the Austrian Consumer Protection Act (KSchG) and the FAGG, remain unaffected. Please send questions and complaints to theaterkurse@gutgebruellt.at.
